What other titles can be won at Jerez and how can they be secured?
Plenty still to play for on the final day of the 2024 season with titles still up for grabs in Spain…
The Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto will be the scene of several crowning moments this year as it hosts the 2024 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship season finale. While some titles, like the WorldSBK and WorldSSP Riders’ Championships, have already been decided, there’s still plenty to play for and we’ve done the maths for you…
WorldSSP300: Riders’ Championship and Teams’ Championship
The WorldSSP300 title fight is going down to the final round of the season, with Aldi Mahendra (Team BrCorse) holding a 22-point advantage over Loris Veneman (MTM Kawasaki) heading into the season finale. Should the pair be tied on points, Veneman holds the tiebreak because of his two wins compared to Mahendra’s one win, and that could be crucial on Sunday. In the Teams’ Championship, MTM Kawasaki will win it if they don’t lose 17 points or more to Team BrCorse, who will have to overturn a 17-point deficit if they are to win.
Mahendra will be Champion in Race 2 if:
- He finishes 12th or higher
- He finishes 13th or higher and Veneman doesn’t win the race
Veneman will be Champion in Race 2 if:
- He wins the race and Mahendra is 13th or worse
